Done 83-640 twice now, it crashed the first time (and failed me), second time I went VERY slowly and did not create any custom consoles (MMCs), failed again. Funny though, I remember every task and multiple-choice question, and cam ehome and verified everything (in a real environment), should've aced it. Note that I have been MCSE certified since 96, always done the exams (full courses - no upgrades) without 'Transcenders' mand such, and have been working with this stuff for 15 years. Found the test easy, and can't figure out how I failed it.

Anyone have any advice or a similar experience? I'm stumped.

I am writing the 083-740 on Jan 15, 2009 as they don't offer 70-640 anymore. What can you tell me about the new exam. I have studied the 70-740 & transcender questions. I fell confident about the 70-640 but not sure about the new exam. Thanks for you help. Dave

I wrote the 083-640 exam today. I love this new "performance-based" exam format. I think it is a much better test of your skills as an administrator than just multiple choice questions.
I hope they will develop more of these exams in the future.

I'd have to agree. Well, there were items in the labs that I find weird being there because to me they were just totally wrong.
